Spotlight on Therapy.png
Lighting a path toward a better you.

Quite simply, I understand the radical value of therapy.

As a member of the LGBTQ+ community with a background in the performing arts and a life devoted to mindfulness practice, I recognize how the healing tools cultivated in therapy can sustainably impact your resiliency. Just as you might strengthen and maintain your physical body through time devoted to exercise, consistent focus on your attitudinal muscles can strengthen your connection to yourself and others; this is the key to a holistic and balanced lifestyle.

Whether this is your first time exploring therapy, or you are on a continued journey with your mental and emotional health, I believe that the gift of time and space for supported exploration and action-oriented connection in a therapeutic setting is intrinsic to your well-being.

As your therapist, I am dedicated to meeting you exactly where you are; I appreciate how your story makes you uniquely you. Using a collaborative approach supported by integrative and evidence-based theory, together, we will identify your needs, establish goals, and discover how best to foster self-compassion, awareness, and growth.

FAQ

How do sessions work? I offer both virtual and in-person therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families. While I always work to accommodate flexible schedules, I aim to find a consistent weekly therapy appointment time with clients. Sessions are 50 minutes in length and adhere to HIPPA compliant confidentiality standards and limitations.

What are your rates? Rates for individuals are $200/per 50-minute session Rates for couples and families are $250/per 50-minute session

Do you offer a sliding scale option? I reserve a limited availability of sliding scale appointment slots based on economic need. Please note that your fee can be an ongoing conversation based on the evolution of your financial needs. If we are unable to make something financially work right now, I am happy to help refer you or make a plan to meet down the line. Please don’t let your inability to afford a full fee be the reason not to reach out.

Do you take insurance? I currently work as an out-of-network provider, which means that if your insurance plan offers out-of-network benefits, I will provide you with a Superbill receipt that you may then submit to your insurance for any reimbursement stipulated in your insurance plan. For clients whose insurance plans have out-of-network benefits, once the client meets their deductible, they typically receive between 40-80% back for sessions.

What questions should I ask my insurance? Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient psychotherapy (CPT Codes 90834, 90837, or 90847)? If so, what is my deductible and have I met any of the amount? What is my coinsurance (the percentage of the fee they will cover after deductible is met)? What is the maximum amount covered per session and how many sessions are covered per year?
